countrySKILLS Tasmania is a program designed primarily to link people to casual/seasonal harvest jobs in Southern Tasmania

The Process

Everyone who wants to be considered for seasonal work should complete a countrySKILLS registration form.

Once a registration form has been completed, applicant's details will be placed on a central database for matching to jobs as they become available.

Applicants will be matched to jobs using the following broad criteria (in no particular order)

• Preferred work location
• Previous Experience
• Availability
• Access to transport
• Location of work

Employers will be provided with a number of prospective workers from the countrySKILLS database. The Employer will usually ring the applicant and agree to a start data (often the next day).

The Next Step

We will try our best to link everyone to work. However, due to the expected high number of applicants and jobs it will not be possible for us to contact everybody individually.
